Liquor Law Violation
East Hall
At 9:55 p.m. DPS was dispatched to the residence halls due to suspected marijuana use. No marijuana was found. DPS did find several beer cans. The resident director filed violation forms.

Headlee Hall
A woman contacted DPS because her stepfather called her and asked for her mother's contact information. Her mother has a restraining order against him, and he should not have had the student's contact information. DPS is watching for him to make further contact.
Vehicle Accident
Lot 39
A woman reported hitting a parked car. No injuries were reported. Damage to the cars was slight.
Property Damage
Lot 34
A man reported that his car had been damaged while he was in class. The truck had a door ding in the side panel. The truck was damaged between 9:00 a.m. and noon.

At 7:10 a.m. a man driving east toward Mission Hill Drive when he hit a car that was backing out of a parking place. One car received a small scratch; the other was not damaged.

At 10:35 a.m. a passing car hit a vehicle backing out from a parking space. No injuries were reported. Both cars were damaged.

At 2:05 p.m. DPS officers found a trash dumpster on fire outside the residence halls. They tried to extinguish the flames with their fire extinguishers. When their extinguishers started getting low they called JFD to put out the fire. A student said he thought his cigarette caused the fire. He thought the cigarette was out when he threw it in the dumpster.

At 5:30 p.m. DPS placed a boot on a Chevy Tahoe. The Chevy had several outstanding tickets. At 6:30 p.m. they received further information and removed the boot.

A woman reported several items stolen from her car between 11:00 a.m. and noon. The items include a garage door opener, several textbooks, a purse, and paperwork.

Lot 39 - Isn't that the same lot where 90% of the theft on campus occurred last year? If so, why is there still no camera or effective lighting? An interrupted theft could easily lead to assault, or worse, with no witness. (Continued…)
